Lake Fork Report

Lake Fork Maps

Water temps on Lake Fork are just now getting right on most of the lake. We are still seeing morning temps in the 50's on the main lake, but most of the lake is in the 60's in the afternoon. The recent rains and massive winds all week have kept the water pretty muddy. It is starting to clear from the rains, but sight fishing is still tough. We have been catching a few fish on the beds, but the most productive pattern I've found right now is to fish the flooded cattails where the water is too stained to sight fish. Yesterday, we got 3 fish averaging 8 pounds throwing big lizards in the cattails.
If we can avoid the rains for the next few days, next week should be very good. The lake is full and the gates are finally closed.

Good fishing and good luck. You can't catch them if you don't go.
